Very soon you are at Hau Kok Tin Hau Temple and Tin Hau Temple Plaza
Hau Kok Tin Hau Temple was built in the early Ming dynasty (1368). It is more than 600 years old, and one of the oldest Tin Hau temples in Hong Kong
The Tin Hau Temple Plaza and Fa Pau Exhibition Hall you see now were built in 2013. Inside, three life-sized fa pau are on display

Sam Shing Hui, on the southeast shore of Castle Peak Bay, was once a well-known fishing village in Hong Kong. The setting is excellent: a natural typhoon shelter
Reclamation later came with the new town, but the district still keeps quite a few historic sites: the old fort, Kei Lun Rock, Sam Shing Temple and Sam Chau Ma Temple

Today's Sam Shing Seafood Street is a must for visitors. There are a dozen or so seafood stalls, each with its own character. Buy your seafood at a stall, then hand it to a nearby restaurant to cook

Besides the seafood, a stroll around nearby Castle Peak Bay is a good choice too
The Castle Peak Bay Promenade runs for 800 metres. You can take in the typhoon shelter and the Tuen Mun coast, with fishing boats moored one after another. Sunset has even more character
