Cycling route from Mong Hau Shek Fire Station to Lung Mun Oasis

Hoi Wong Road in Tuen Mun sits beside the Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok Tunnel: a long white seawall, a huge lawn, wide-open sea, and a whole row of palm trees. No wonder the media call it "Hong Kong's Miami"! It is rather out of the way, so do your homework before you go.

This Loco vlog starts the ride home from the nearest cycle track, at Mong Hau Shek Fire Station.
A reminder: large vehicles often come and go on this road, so be careful.
After dark, switch on a white light at the front and a red light at the rear.
About another 5 minutes on, and you reach another good spot for the sunset, Butterfly Beach.
Park the bike in the bicycle parking outside. Don't take it in.

After all those nice photos, you must be hungry. Time to eat!
The food street at Lung Mun Oasis is a well-known spot in the area for a street-food crawl and a late-night snack. Hong Kong street snacks, Taiwanese, Thai, Sichuan flavours, sweet soups and desserts: it has them all. Most snack shops stay open into the small hours. Don't miss it!
