Cycling route from Tuen Mun Station to Ming Kum Road

Route: Tuen Mun Station > Shan King > Ming Kum > Ming Kum Road
The cycle track runs alongside the Light Rail tracks. A telephoto lens is a good idea: get the poles, the platform, the rails and the points into one frame, and bring out that criss-cross effect

Besides the side of the cycle track, the footbridges are places to shoot a "standard shot". The footbridges north of Ming Kum Stop and north of Shek Pai Stop are two of the hot spots. You can photograph the Light Rail on a curved stretch, with no railings in the way. Perfect for railfans!

Shan King
Shan King has only route 505, and only the Siu Hong-bound trains pass, but its unusual setting draws plenty of photographers on pilgrimage
The Light Rail comes out through Shan King Estate as if entering a secret land

The end of this cycle track is a Light Rail junction. When you cross, look both ways for an approaching train, and stay safe
