Cycling route from the main water pipe to Sheung Shui Cycling Hub

The main water pipe has long been a favourite photo spot for the artsy crowd. You've probably left plenty of footprints there!
Sadly, quite a lot of the main water pipe has been fenced off. If you want photos, you can only shoot from ground level.
There are 2 ways back out to Sheung Shui. Besides the cycle track,
the road outside the main water pipe gets you back out as well.

Speaking of photos, there's another spot that seems far away and is right in front of you.
The works site across the river is actually Long Valley wetland, known as a paradise for birds.
Every winter, keen birdwatchers come here as if on a pilgrimage.

Besides being a birdwatching spot, Long Valley also has plenty of farmland, shallow pools, paddy fields, fish ponds and marsh.
It is to become an ecological park, divided into an ecology zone, an agriculture zone and a visitor zone, with completion expected in 2023.

On the way back to Sheung Shui from Long Valley wetland, we came across a non-air-conditioned hot dog bus.
After it was retired in 2010, it was chosen as a warehouse for the engineering department at Sheung Shui Depot, and for now it has escaped being scrapped.

Round the bend and you're almost at Sheung Shui Cycling Hub.
The photos were taken when evening dine-in was suspended. It was during the pandemic, but fencing off the cycle track was hard to understand.
