Cycling route from Tai Wai Station to Hoi Fai Garden

Route |
Tai Wai Station Exit A > The Palazzo > Mei Lam Estate > Mei Tin Estate > Tai Wai Station Exit B
Tai Wai Station is one of Loco's popular pick-up and drop-off spots. You are more likely to find a LocoBike at Tai Wai Station Exit A and at the Shing Chuen Road bike parking.
But note that this is a busy stretch of the district. Watch for other bikes, and watch for people on foot.

On the cycle track beside the railway bridge you can stop and watch the trains rush past.

The Palazzo
Ride another 2-3 minutes and you will see an old-style gate tower, with "The Palazzo" written on it.
It used to be Mui Yuen Villa and the Hop Hing Lung Shark Fin Factory, and the site covered more than 40,000 square feet.
Most of the buildings later had to be demolished for the Shing Mun Tunnels, and only the gate tower you see today was left.

Keep riding the cycle track and you pass several estates: Mei Lam Estate, Mei Tin Estate, May Shing Court and others. Trees shade the way, the stretch is fairly gentle, and it is a relatively easy ride.

With a cycle track network this good in Sha Tin, how could there be only one way to get there?
If you have a bit more stamina, this route is worth a try.

Keep riding the cycle track outside Mei Tin Estate and turn right at Mei Fai Street. The big slope is just ahead!
You really do need some stamina for this.

Ride the second slope and, before you know it, you are at Hoi Fai Garden, the end of this Loco vlog.
Just head back up the footbridge and you will be back at Tai Wai Station, ready to carry on.
