Cycling route from Tai Wo to Fanling
Loco vlog episode 4

Route | Tai Wo Station > Tai Po Road > Tai Wo section > Fanling Highway (drink stop) > Fanling Station
Lam Tsuen River
- The lower course of the Lam Tsuen River, from east of Tai Po Tau Pumping Station to Tolo Harbour, has been fully built as an artificial channel, with a cycle track along the bank running through the whole community.
- Near Tai Po, five footbridges in a Chinese architectural style cross the Lam Tsuen River. They were completed between 1984 and 1992: Kam Shek Bridge, Kam Wo Bridge, Tai Wo Bridge, Kwong Fuk Bridge and Po Heung Bridge.

A must-shoot for rail fans
The railway runs right beside the cycle track. Stand on the footbridge and you feel the rush of a train passing right by you. It is a must-shoot spot for rail fans.

Shan Kee Store
- Riding the cycle track, you pass Tai Wo Village and Yuen Leng Village. At the pavilion at the far end, in Kau Lung Hang Village, you will see Shan Kee Store. If you need supplies, sit down, eat something and rest.

Fung Ying Seen Koon
- A Taoist sacred site in Hong Kong. The buildings are full of traditional Chinese colour, and the "Tao Te Ching Wall" presents faith, health cultivation and Taoist philosophy.
- Distinctive buildings such as the candle furnace and the fortune-stick counter are must-shoot spots for photographers, and the large pavilion in the garden looks out over the whole of Fanling.
- The vegetarian food at Fung Ying Seen Koon is quite well known. If you are interested, do give it a try.

Things to note |
- After Tai Po Tau Raw Water Pumping Station the road drops, and the right turn into the tunnel is very narrow. Take it slowly and with care.
- Near the "bobble bridge" at Tai Hang, both the climb and the descent are fairly tough. Beginners can take the lift!
