Cycling route from Long Ping Station to Siu Hong Station

Route | Long Ping Station > Ping Shan > Hung Shui Kiu > Lam Tei > Siu Hong Station
Set off from Long Ping Station. There are 2 routes here, so do not take the wrong one
This episode we ride along the nullah

Most of the side roads along the way have no pedestrian lights. Look carefully when you cross!

At Ping Shan Stop you will probably think of the Ping Shan Heritage Trail. Park the bike at the nearby bike parking, then walk about 10 minutes to Ping Shan Tang Clan Gallery

Ping Shan Tang Clan Gallery
Why is there a British-style building on the Ping Shan Heritage Trail? It was the old Ping Shan Police Station, built in 1900.
It was later converted into the Ping Shan Tang Clan Gallery cum Heritage Trail Visitors Centre, introducing the history and culture of the Ping Shan Tang clan and the historic buildings on the Ping Shan Heritage Trail.
Whether you are looking at the artefacts, the view or taking photos, it is easy and unhurried, and you can spend a leisurely afternoon.

There are quite a few Light Rail level crossings along the way. Take care your wheels do not drop into the rails!

Out in the northwest, the Light Rail is part of the landscape. The cycle track runs on alongside the tracks, and good spots for photographing the Light Rail are everywhere
When you stop for a photo, do not leave the bike in the middle of the path. Watch that you are not blocking other people on the cycle track!

While Hung Shui Kiu and Siu Hong are a building site, nearby Lam Tei still keeps the look of the 1960s and 70s
On the street you can see oil-and-grocery shops, old department stores, old-style corner shops and Hong Kong cha chaan teng. It is like stepping into a time tunnel

There are 2 ways to the Tuen Mun Cycling Hub. One is to follow the cycle track and cross the road before the roundabout. You can also cross on the footbridge
Under the bridge there is also a cycle track to Siu Hong Station
