Cycling route from Chung On Estate to the twin bridges
Loco vlog episode 8

Route |
Chung On Estate > MOSTown > Yiu On Estate > Ma On Shan Tsuen Road > Heng On > A Kung Kok Street > Tai Shui Hang Cycling Park > the twin bridges
Ma On Shan Town Centre
- There are cycle tracks all around Ma On Shan Town Centre, linking several estates. A LocoBike is very handy for getting around and for buying groceries.
- If you need supplies, you can buy them first at Chung On Shopping Centre or in Ma On Shan Town Centre.

Ma On Shan Tsuen
- Ma On Shan was once a mine. The mine has since closed, but a few old mine buildings and tunnel remains are still there. The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hong Kong now looks after the site and has revitalised it as #Ma On Shan Exploration Centre
- Besides a glimpse of how the miners lived back then, there is a mine-themed Miners' Cafe up on the hill
- From the Ma On Shan Road roundabout it is about an hour's walk up the hill. If your legs are up to it, come and have a look
Ma On Shan Exploration Centre (ELCHK Grace Youth Camp)
Open to the public: every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, or on selected public holidays
Opening hours: 10:00am-5:00pm

The twin bridges
- The main cycle track linking both banks of the Shing Mun River with Tai Po. Anyone who rides regularly will know it!
- On an ordinary day plenty of people fly kites from the bridge, and lots of rowers are out on the river
- At dusk, with the town and river views on both sides and the Ma On Shan coast, the sea of lights is especially moving!
- If you do not want to ride back the same way, you can continue to University Station or Sha Tin and change to other transport

Things to note |
- Besides the waterfront route, you can take the one that hugs the hillside. It follows Ma On Shan's other cycle track, which is quieter, with fewer bikes for company
