Cycling route from Sam Mun Tsai Road, Tai Po to Tai Mei Tuk

Route: Sam Mun Tsai Road, Tai Po > Tsz Shan Monastery > Lung Mei Beach > BRIAN CAFE > Tai Mei Tuk
Tsz Shan Monastery
Tsz Shan Monastery sits at the foot of Pat Sin Leng, facing Plover Cove Reservoir. It covers about 500,000 square feet, and its Tang-style buildings sit as one with the landscape.
Besides the world's second-tallest outdoor Guanyin statue, there is a Buddhist art museum with precious Buddhist statues and artefacts from many places. Don't miss it if that interests you.

You need to register before you visit: registration page
Lung Mei Beach
Lung Mei Beach, which officially opened this June, is the first artificial beach built by the Hong Kong government, about 200 metres long.
There is a sand-retaining groyne on each side of the beach, and you can look out over the whole of Pat Sin Leng and the beach.
The beach has bike parking. Don't park just anywhere.

A reminder: quite a few sea creatures live on the beach, so watch you don't step on them.
BRIAN CAFE
You have been riding a while, so of course you need to eat. Tai Mei Tuk is not only about barbecue. There are quite a few cafes to choose from too.
Not long after you turn into Lung Mei Village you will see a cafe with Tiffany Blue walls and a bar table outside, with a European feel.
