Cycling route from Fung Kai No.1 Secondary School to Fan Leng Lau Road

Plenty of you have ridden the main water pipe at Sheung Shui. In this Loco vlog we take you into Sheung Shui Wai!

Liu Man Shek Tong Ancestral Hall, between Mun Hau Tsuen and Chung Sum Tsuen in Sheung Shui Heung, is the largest ancestral hall of the Liu clan of Sheung Shui.
Built in the 16th year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing dynasty (1751), it is a three-hall, two-courtyard building. The decoration is very elaborate, with plaster mouldings, wood carvings, murals and clay sculptures wherever you look.
A Western-style building inside Sheung Shui Wai?
It's the Old Sheung Shui Police Station, built in 1902. It's a typical British Victorian building, designed with neoclassical features.
It has since been converted into the Tai Po District Junior Police Call clubhouse.

Mention Shek Wu Hui and the first thing that comes to mind is the old parallel-goods street.
A count in early January 2020 by the North District Parallel Traders Concern Group found as many as 486 smuggling shops in Shek Wu Hui. Besides the trolley-case problem and blocked streets, they made the area's shops all much the same. During the border closure, the parallel traders vanished and the old quiet returned.

Head off and continue by bike. Along the way you pass North District Sports Ground and Lung Sum Avenue Sports Centre.
The cycle track is shaded by trees and very relaxing.

A reminder:
For your sake and everyone else's, please don't park a LocoBike inside the walled village.
If you ride in, remember to ride back out.
